  1. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  2. You shouldn't have to pay for anything at all only paying your agent 10-20% of what you earn.

  3. No, you don't have to pay to be in it. You may have to pay for agent services if you use one though. That would go to your agent though, not the company doing the show or movie.

  4. No you don't and if you are you are being SCAMMED!!!

For a commercial I THINK my acting coach said you may not be paid but DONT do it

  5. NO! you don't have to pay anything.  if you want to audition for real parts i suggest you go here: hollywood-opportunities(dotcom)

  6. In community organizations such as rep theatre and operatic society you will be expected to pay subs, however, I wouldn't pay to be in a commercial or show - they should be paying you for your talent!

  7. No you you shouldn't have to pay to be in a production with the exception of workshops and some community productions (i.e  Missoula children's theatre, acting camps etc.) but the fees are usually small and or just to cover some expenses. From my experience, there may be a small financial commintment for some plays, usually with community productions (ie props, costumes, memberships etc). Otherwise, no you don't have to pay to be in a show.

  8. The fine print usually states

    First born child

All body organs and parts, upon your demise

    Your soul

An agent is paid a percentage of your earnings. Any who want money up front, should be avoided.

The exception, with an AGENCY would be any classes they offer that you attend, any head shots or resume help, etc. Those could be legitimate fees.

  9. You should NEVER pay to be in a show or movie (commercials might be different) If you have been cast in a production and they want you to pay don't do it. To get into a legitimate show or movie you will most likely have to use an agent who will help you by getting you auditions and will also take about 10% of your income.
