  1. For starters, it's public.

More than likely you have to pay, but it completely depends on the park and the city. It also depends on the size of the ceremony and if you draw attention to yourself. For example, my friend got married in a city park and didn't pay their $150 fee but there were only 5 of us there and it only lasted about 15 mins.

As far as who can legally marry you, that depends on your state/county. A friend can become ordained online for free and marry you, but some counties won't except this as a legal. Traditionally, either justices of the peace or clergymen perform ceremonies and cost varies (probably looking at $150-$300).

    Hope this helps!

  2. Hi.  Check with the city that the park is located IN.  Call the parks and recreation department of that city/town.  Their phone number should be in your local phone book.  Some parks might require a permit (fee), others may not.

In all states you can be married by a member of the clergy (minister/pastor/priest/rabbi) or a judge or a justice of the peace.

Look at this link...it answers many questions:

  3. It all depends...you should contact local township or borough to find out.

I would ask your minister...if he is not available, you could check with the local JP...sometimes, they will go to another location other than their office...and you would have to check with them regarding prices.

  4. yes you have to pay a permit ,, its never that much really!!   and you have to see your eg priest,minister.... , to see if theyll agree..good luck and congrats!

  5. You may have to pay and you may need a permit. Go to your local boro hall to inquire. Remember that hosting a wedding in a public place does not allow for privacy and, of course, you have to consider the weather.
