Do you have to practice parking for the driver's test?

i'm going to be taking the driver's road test in california. do i have to practice parking?

and also, will they tell me to drive on highways?

  1. I would hope that you would know how to park if you are getting your license... as well as driving on highways.... they will most likely have you parallel park as well as park back into the parking spot you came out of. When I got my license I did not have to go on the highway... but every state is different...

Do you have to?  Well, no.  But if you don't the chances of failing increase.  Will they tell you to drive on highways?  It's possible, where else would you be driving?  They are not trying to trick you into failing, and they won't tell you to do anything that isn't legal to do, but they do need to see how you drive.

  4. If you don't practice, you may not be able to pass the test when it comes time to park your car.
