Do you have to purchase 2.0 to download apps on itunes

I am getting an ipod touch, and I want tot get apps. Do you have to buy anything (except the ipod) to get apps? Thanks!!!

yes, you have to buy the 2.0 softwear update (app store) to get the apps. however, you can also jailbreak it, but that can easily mess your ipod up.
