Do you have to register a Crossbow in Colorado?

All I want is a MK-45 Crossbow so I can shoot at thick targets all day. I am sick of having to play on the computer for my amusement.

A crossbow is not a firearm, as defined in CO, and not subject to registration.

I think you should use a regular bow first for awhile. It's fun and colleges have archery teams.
