I know you have to take the cap off, but do you need to remove the label as well? By label, I mean the thin plastic layered label around the bottle that has the name of the drink on it (such as Mountain Dew's green label or Pepsi's blue label).

  1. No.  Unless the recycle guidelines say you have to do something, you don't have to do it.

And don't get too carried away about carefully separating your trash into separate piles.  It often ends up in the same pile at recycle.

Although glass recycling doesn't break even economically, it does reduce the need for landfill sites.

  2. no just toss it in,good to rinse it out though will prevent ants from going after the sugar

  3. The recycling company will take care of that. Don't listen to the ney-sayers ... recycling is good - may not be the perfect answer, but it's something we CAN do.

  4. No.  The label is also recyclable

  5. No, it doesn't matter, as recycling still negatively impacts the enviorment by using more fossil fuels, chemicals, and produces more waste than making a new bottle and throwing out the old one would.
