Do you have to restart the game when you beat Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops?

I just beat it, and it forced me to restart the whole game, even though I still have the save file. Is there a way to get me army back? Can I still Use them in online play?

Did you load your save file or go to new game, once you beat the game you should be able to do missions to level up your older characters.

When you finish the game, you restart with your whole army, so repeating the game is really easy. So the missions go back to the start but the army stays
