I recently graduated from college and have since moved out of the county, but still received a notice.

  1. You have to contact the court and let them know that you have moved out of the county.  I don't know if they'll make you serve or not.  I do know you have to contact them.

  2. You must respond, but if you no longer reside in the jurisdiction, you are not even eligible to serve.

Just send a response with some documentation of your new address (electric bill, for example). If you ignore it, they may issue a bench warrant for you, and odds are you'll go back there someday.

  3. Just contact the court and tell them you have moved and they will excuse you.

  4. I think all you need to do is call and tell them you no longer live in the area.  Did you change your address??
