And the child requires life-saving attention?

Can a couple just say they are the parents, or do they need to produce a birth certificate after the procedures?

  1. why who needs to go to the er and is this child in danger now?????

  2. If anyone requires life-saving attention there is no need to prove guardianship. I took my son to the ER for a non life-threatening reason and didn't have to show any proof.

  3. I'm pretty sure the ER will take anyone, even if the person that brings them in is a complete stranger. They would just have to find someone to pay or something afterwards.

I think you only need the child's health card (I think that's the right name), and a way to pay or show insurance.

  4. No, not that i know of. I don't even have a birth certificate for my daughter. We just brought her to the ER the other day for a very high fever, and the only thing they asked for was her health card
