Do you have to shuffle your deck when a card effect says you search it?

I'm asking because some cards say, then shuffle your deck. and other ones don't..

I want to know if an effect of a card asks you to search for a card in your deck, if you have to shuffle after-words if it dose not say to do so on the card.

If it doesnt say to shuffle the deck, then don't shuffle the deck as that could be "cheating" if your good cards are on the bottom.
