  1. no need to stop but you do need to give them the right of way<<

  2. Yes always.....

  3. yes get out of the way

  4. Yes. Pull over to the side of the road (the RIGHT side) and let them pass. They are at code 3 (emergency) and have the right of way. Anytime you see those lights, whether you hear a siren or not, always yield the right of way. An emergency vehicle will always pass on the left, unless circumstances make this impossible.

  5. I dont think so.. if it was a emergency they will have lights and sirens on..

  6. Yes you do... Ambulances go with their sirens off sometimes to not upset the patient anymore then he all ready is... Police do it some times if a crime is in progress they do not want the crook to know they are coming... so YES you MUST pull over!!!!!

  7. Lights are emergency equipment, they have the same rules as sirens or lights and sirens.

  8. Yes

  9. they are an emergency vehicle, don't matter if its lights or sirens, good idea to give them the right of way

  10. YES. You would sure want people to get out of the way if you were in that ambulance. This is a no brainer.

  11. If they are driving behind you I believe so because you never know where they are going. I think if they are going in a different direction you do not have to unless the siren is on.

  12.              When one is driving then one is not dependent on the horns or sirens of the vehicles following. All car making industries have roled out cars fitted with all the latest paraphernalia. But the most oldest thing fitted in the cars is the mirror fitted inside the car (the rear mirror) and two mirrors fitted on the sides of both the doors. These side mirrors are often seen to be not in use by the driver. While looking into all the three car mirrors we must stop or give way to the police cars and ambulances, even though the sirens are not on. Because lives are at stake or may be tommorrow we are in these vehicles!!

  13. Yes.  (They may be responding silently for a good reason.)
