Do you have to take a pre GED test before taking GED classes?

I dropped out school and I want to get my GED. I know I will need to take some classes since I dropped out in 9th grade. Can I just sign up for classes or do I need to take a pre-test to determine what I need help in?

  1. Contact the vocational school in the school district. They will give you a pre-test to see if there are any subjects that you will need help with. If so, you take the classes then another pre-test for that subject. Once you've passed each subject in the pre-test, you go take the actual GED test.
