You can take it whenever you want up until you apply for colleges. It is good to take at least two and you have to be doing pretty well in the subject, to take the SAT subject for it

Its completely optional but if you plan on going to a 4 year college you can take them whenever you can

if you want to go to college its a good idea, but theres a possibility of taking them your senior year, it just gives you less time for college applications so it is not recommended

yes, you have to. senoir year is when you start applying for colleges and it's better to start as soon as you get your SAT scores since so many of them require it. it takes a few weeks for the scores to get sent to you after you take the test. it's best to do it in 11th grade.
