Do you have to take the back wheel off on a 2002 electra glide classic to change rear brakes?

  2. on most bike you have to just  take the caliper off the  do the pad`s  also to check if its working right

    if you do take the wheel off make sure you know what your doing and how to put it back together

    or you will have more pro`b you dont wont

  3. The service manual says no. Not if you are just changing the pads (see Walter F's answer to your other question). The rear caliper is held in place by the rear axle. If you want to remove the caliper, you have to loosen the axle and slide it out a couple of inches. Of course this means removing both tail pipes.

  4. i think you may have to slide it back, not necessarily off... otherwise you have to unbolt the rotor... and the wheel is easier
