Do you have to tip the girl who washes your hair separately at the salon?

...or does the person who cut/styled your hair give her a percentage (like bus boys)?

She gets tipped separately although not as much.  They wash and rinse so quickly that I usually give them a dollar.

No! I am a guy but still...enough of this tipping junk! I mean at the restaurant or valet sure but the expectation of being tipped needs to stop.

You tip the girl. Usually $2-5 depending on how fru-fru the salon is.

Yes you do.  Remember she's not exactly getting rich washing people's hair and don't begrudge her a couple of bucks.  A little money spread around like this will generally ease your path through life.

i do :] ever since i was little, my mom made me bring  5-15 dollars to the woman who washes my hair. its just courteous, and they will appreciate it.
