  1. The "official" answer is that you need to use the FastPass in the 1 hour window.  However, in reality you can use the FastPass anytime after it's start time.  So showing up an hour(or more) late should not be an issue at all.

Now, they are very strict on Start time so you can not use it before the start time(even a couple of minutes).  You also can not use a FastPass from a previous day.

By the way not sure how much "Collecting" you will be able to do.  Because they limit it to 1 every two hours or when the first one becomes active.  On a real busy day the popular FastPasses(Space Mountain, Splash Mountain...) will be gone by early afternoon.

  2. When we were at WDW they were very strict with the times. We arrived 3 mins. before our ticket time and they made us wait those 3 mins. before they let us in line.  They will not let you in after your time has expired. This was during peak season. No matter how crowed it is they will check your FP. So if your  FP is between 1pm-2pm you need to show up durning that time period.

Pls note that once you have your first FP you will not be issued another for any other ride till 1. you ride that ride OR 2. two hours after first FP is issued. (check with a Cast member this time limit is can be changed) You can not store them up.

  3. Well i have not been to the one in California but i go to WDW at least 8 times a year and i live in Maryland.... but last time i went me and my mom we got a whole bunch of fast passes for different rides and it worked out, but it is true that on busier days they will be all gone, so try to get up early like on the extra magic hours days not sure if extra magic applies to California though. I hope that helps

  4. unless you get a cast member that just doesn't care, you wont be able to use it.

I know that I'm really strict with that.

Also, you can only obtain one fast pass at a time.

However, if you get your parents to go see the presentation for the vacation club, they give you some fast passes that you can use at any time.

    Have fun
