  1. no u can apply for disability at any time. unenployment has nothing to do with disability.

  2. Technically you shouldn't be drawing unemployment if you are physically unable to work.

When you applied for, and received, unemployment one question they always ask is:  are you ready, willing & able to work?

If you said yes, which you must have else you wouldn't be receiving unemployment, then you stated that you don't have a disability preventing you from working.

So, I don't see a legal or correct answer to your question.

    Good luck.

  3. i believe so

  4. You can't get unemployment if you are available for work. If you have disability insurance apply for it as soon as you are disabled. SS disability doesn't start for at least 6 months and most are turned down so people might need to wait a couple of years after applying to get a first check.

  5. They are mutually exclusive.

In order to collect unemployement, you have to be able to work.  In order to collect disability, you have to be unable to work.

So, either you can work, or you can't.  If you can't, you can't collect unemployment.  If you can, you can't collect disability.

The disability will have  wait period - a deductible.  You'll have to check your policy, to see what the wait period is, before the coverage kicks in.  And, of course, a doctor will have to declare you unable to work.

  6. you can apply for disability i not sure if they allow you to collect both .just contact ssd and ask them...they will help you.
