I'm thinking of taking up skimboarding but was wondering if, for the specifications of the board listed below, would I have to wax it when using it, and would it harm the board? Thanks

~

  1. no offence but stupid question. ofcourse u have to wax skimboards like surfboards.

  2. Yes, you should wax it. You do not want to slip off a skimboard at high speed, you can get hurt pretty quickly. It will not harm the board at all just be sure to clean off the wax when it gets dirty and replace with a new coat. You will most likely have to apply a new coat each time. To scrape it off, just go to any surfshop and purchase a wax comb.

  3. yes, wax would help.
