Do you have to wax wakeboards?

i'm thinking about getting into wakeboarding and i just ordered my board and my new life jacket but i need to know everytihing first so i was wondering if you have to wax a wakeboard the same way you have to wax a surf board?

you dont need to because a wakeboards has bindings.( you might have to buy them seperate if they did not come with your board)

I would also advise ordering a set of 'The Book' wakeboarding instructional DVD series.  You will find everything you want to know about wakeboarding.  Equipment and boating safety, basic foundation to get you off on the right track and prevent you from picking up any bad habits that will restrict your progression to all the tricks.  No new wakeboarder should be without this set.  Good luck and enjoy the sport.
