Do you have to wear a seat belt in a pick up truck in GA?

i have talked to many people that say you don't have to wear a seat belt in a pick up truck,but i wear mine,just wondering what the law is,thanks.

  1. U should wear your seatbelt, or else u could get a ticket. Clicket or Ticket is now one of the laws.


  2. Yes, you do.

    Most people in GA, with trucks, just don't know any better.

    I live there too, and have heard the same thing, but then they wonder why they're getting seatbelt tickets.......

      Each occupant of the front seat of a passenger vehicle shall, while such passenger vehicle is being operated on a public road, street or highway of this state, be restrained by a seat safety belt approved under the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208.

  4. Keep wearing it- When your doing 50 down the highway, and some 87 yr old dude pulls right in front of you- you could LIVE and then some lawyer guy will come along and give you more money than you ever saw in your life- seatbelts ROCK!!!!
