Question:

Do you have use of weapons in Army Rotc?

Also, if you do two years of the Rotc, can you apply that towards another branch? like will it count for anything if i were to go into the marines or air force instead?

  1. Yes, you will have to be qualified on a rifle.  I went to a High School that had MCJROTC(Marine Corps)  and I am going into the Army.  The recruiters like it if you have some idea of military order & regs but it isn't required & your ROTC may get you promoted faster than someone who doesn't have it.  It will be a benefit to you to have it.


  2. Weapons only for training..... and No it would only be for the army..... The Air Force has their own program ... The navy and marines share the same program.

    University ROTC is not the same as Junior ROTC.....

    But then again you young people know more than some one with over 22 yrs of service.
