  1. no they clamp them open so that you can't blink or anything. Not pretty but worth it

  2. LOL..that made me laugh a lil. Anyway the answer is NO. The main reason you will be in the surgery room is for them to correct your vision so you will need to have your eyes open so the laser can work on your eyes. They use some sorta device to keep them open.

  3. no i wouldnt have thought so

  4. no, they put stuff on the eyeball that numbs them, they use a special instrument that holsd the eye lids back so they can work on the eyeball.

  5. if your eyes were closed your lids would be burnt off.

  6. the device used to hold your eye open during most ocular surgeries (including lasik) is an ocular speculum:

  7. I would think they'd need to be open ?

Do you know if it hurts though?

  8. Nope.

  9. If they used a hand held tool and were working on your eyeball in particular, then the eyelid(s) would have to be open. If the laser can work through skin, then it would not be neccercery.

If you were asleep for the treatment, then you would not be able to have your eyes open, so another drug or item would be used.

Eye operations may be performed when you are awake if it is mild work.

  10. you mean the LASIK ????

you will have ur eyes open but they will put somekind of eye drops

  11. what a supid question!!! this person must be retarded
