Question:

Do you hear something better if you look at it?

it's a simple question that i don't seem to have the answer to. Teachers constantly ask students to look at them though when i don't, it's not as if I suddenly don't hear them as well...so i fail to see the point of looking at that which you're listening to.

  1. no. Actually I hear things better when I'm not trying to listen in the first place. Or if I'm half asleep because the words come into my thoughts and stick there.

  2. No if you turn your head with your ear looking to teacher you will hear better but if you look at him you will just hear from both ears but not good

  3. No, I would think that looking away would actually make you hear better, because if your looking at something your ears don't try as hard to hear it since your other senses are working to capture it. If you look away, your ears will try harder to capture what's happening. That's why most blind people (if they aren't deaf) can hear better, because they have to depend on one instead of two senses

  4. yes because i know what is then so i could picture it in my mind

  5. They want your full attention.

  6. if you look away from them you could just drift away and get distracted, if your looking at them you attention is to them
