  1. Yes, you always wanna hit if you have less than 16. Its always what I do and I play quite often.

  2. Stay.. no question!

  3. Basic Strategy says to stay on a 12 when the dealer is showing a 6. I would always follow basic strategy considering that hese strategies are made to increase the player's edge over the long run. Meaning if you played perfect basic strategy, you' would end up winning more times than losing. Follow basic strategy and stay on 12 when the dealer is showing a 6.

  4. i would stand

becuase the dealer is more than likely bust because the dealer must hit 16

  5. The easiest way to look at this is that the dealer needs to hit the 16 and of the 13 cards in the deck 8 will bust him and 5 will not.  If you hit the 12 then you'd need at least a 6 (17) to improve your chances and a 6 would bust the dealer with 16 so it's an absolute stand here regardless of the "count" or anything else.  Having said that though you don't know information like this in a regular blackjack game and you are going to have to base your strategy on seeing a single card from the dealer.

  6. You stay, unless you are counting cards or you just like to lose.  Basic strategy says to "STAY" in this situation.  You'll find a free basic strategy chart at http://GamblingReviewsSite.com/casinogam...

  7. If for some reason, perhaps the dealer exposed his down card, and you know for fact the dealer has 16, you shoudl stand on that total, and double on ANY total that would have no probibility of busting to maximise your EV. Since the probibility of the dealer breaking when he has a total of 16 is greater than 50% ALL MONEY CURRENTLY IN A  BETTING CIRCLE IS POSITIVE EV, this is a great thing and if you can put more money in there by splitting doubling etc than you shoudl do so even if it means doubling on a hard 5 or splitting tens.

However, you VERY VERY RARELY know what the dealers actualy total is, you will  know that his showing card is a six, and this is what i am gogin to assume you are in refference to.

For the play 12 vs 6, I beleive in spanish 21 (with a spanish deck that has no tens) the correct play is to hit, however, in any other more standard blackjack game, the EV from hitting is better than the EV from standing  They are very close though in fact they are:

    Hit: -16.92% of your wager

    Stand: -15.44% of your wager

BY hitting you will lose on average 1.48% more of your wager when compared to standing for everytime you encounter that hand (on average)  This is not an extremely large amount to argue over, but the correct play is to stand.

When counting cards, it does not take very many cards removed (only one or two) for hitting to become the correct play, but only a card counter will be able to make the call.

  8. I would stand in that position. With a 12, any 10, J, Q, or K will bust you, and with a 16, any 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, or K will bust you, so there's still a fair chance that you will bust if you hit, but with the dealer, there's a very high chance that he'll bust, so I would stand.

  9. How do you know the dealer has 16?  Can you see the undercard?  If you can then stay.  The name of the game is dealer go Bust.  If you hit a 2 against a 6 you play a fool's game.  If you are counting and have a good negative count, you might hit.  Might.

  10. Def. Hit

  11. It should depend on the count.  Right now, though, not knowing anything about the deck, I'd take the chance and hit it.  But that's just the kind of salty risk taker I am.
