What's your longest? How long & what was the offense?

Well, my folks kicked me out years ago when i came out to them that i'm g*y. They were freakin' religious. My parents were muslims, you do the math, they want me dead. I never spoke to them ever since. God i hate'em. It took me so long to stand on my own feet and pull myself together. I guess i just never figured out a way to forgive them. I slept on streets for weeks. I will never be able to forgive'em. What about you? Do u think i did the right thing? What would you do if you were me? Thanks for your time.

  1. No I don't see the point.

  2. i dont really see the point of grudges

they only complicate things even more making the situation worse

in your situation you did the right thing but the wrong thing

i would of talked with ur parents and told them im still ur son i still love you etc nothing will ever change that

but its hard to forgive them especially that they shut you out of thier lives

it must be hard for you having no support by ur family

i hope things work out good for you

  4. Well I've only really held two grudges. One was against my ex best friend who I loved so much and she went behind my back and did some dirty S**t. I just cut her out of my life and for 2 years I didn't talk to her at all. That was my longest.

My 2nd longest was against my sister. She's a real manipulator and I can't stand people like that. Long story short she's not pleasant to live with. I don't hold a grudge against her now [I did a while ago] I just choose to not talk to her anymore [this has been going on for about 6 months]

I don't hate people, if they can't accept who I am that's their problem not mine. I'm not asking to be accepted by anyone because honestly I really don't care haha so if someone out there can't accept who I am, I obviously don't need them. Just keep sticking up for what you believe in.

  5. i tend to hold grudges for a verry long time.

    years.

    uhm...

i remember like maybe 4 yrs ago my sister ate one of my pizzas lol.

i was soooooooooooo pissed at her for like 1-2 years.

  6. I held a grudge against the woman who is now my girlfriend. When I was fifteen, I was totally infatuated with her, and we had a bit of a "thing" going on, but after nine months she basically told me I was too young etc etc and I was so angry I cut her out of my life and despite her emailing me and wanting to be friends I totally blanked and ignored her. Yet I couldn't stop thinking about her and even though it had only been nine months I couldn't move on with my life so after 3 years I emailed her on her birthday to wish her a happy birthday and well..the rest is history! So I'm kind of glad I held that grudge...because during that 3 years I learned a lot about myself.

I also held a grudge against this girl at school - we hated one another for no particular reason and now we're best friends and even went on holiday together.

Never hold a grudge - some day you might regret it. But I think your grudge is justifiable. I would have done the same for you. You are their son and they should have loved you no matter what. You should be really proud of yourself you've been able to stand on your own two feet even after having sleeping on the streets. That's terrible your parents did that to you. Best of luck with the rest of your life.

  7. Grudges are for kids, adults get revenge!
