Do you it's rude and insensitive for a slim girl to complain bt herself?

saying she's fat, wants to lose weight... bla bla.. all that to another girl who's not slim?

Rude?  Maybe, maybe not.  It depends on whether she truly believes it.  She may have body image issues and truly thinks she's fat.

Insensitive?  It depends on what the girl who's not slim thinks.  If that girl does not feel she has a weight problem and is not trying to lose weight, then the slim girl is not being insensitive.  If the not-slim girl is in fact trying to lose weight, however, then the slim girl is insensitive.

It's fine for a slim girl to complain that she's fat. It could be an actual disorder, some girls honestly have low self esteem and see themselves that way, that's how anorexia and bulimia are formed. All you do is comfort her and tell her the obvious that she's fine and watch for symptoms of eating disorders or if it makes it's way to anything serious.

Noww if it's not that then she want's attention and is a loser OR she really doesn't like this heavy girl and is trying to make her feel bad about her self. Some girls are just evil.

It's ok for a slim girl to complain about weight (even if it's annoying), but it's just mean to complain to an obviously not so thin girl.

yes, rude and insensitive. I hate girl"friends" who always make one feel LESS than them... somehow, however subtle. Many like that out there.

I kind of do that. I don't whine n complain so much, I just mention I need to lose weight, I do it genuinely , not to spite any one or so. Just cuz we are slim, we can't complain?!?

I do agree with the one who said its about having issues and FEELING fat n unattractive too.

She probably feels she's overweight and unattractive even you don't see her that way. She's talking to you as a fellow sufferer - the least you can do is be sympathetic.

I don't think it's so much rude as it is pathetic and shallow.  It's an obvious play for attention.

No.  She most likely has body and self-esteem issues and FEELS fat and unattractive, even if she isn't by other people's standards.

It's not rude unless she's doing it for attention. Most of the time a person's body image has nothing to do with what they actually look like. A skinny girl could very well think that she is fat. Even though it's insensetive to say it to somebody else who isn't as slim, in her mind she might look bigger.

Most girls will complain about their body whether they are really skinny or over-weight. Everyone wants to change something about their body [except if you are Angelina Jolie] and so I do not think it is insensitive or rude to complain about her body. You should look at it this way:

The skinny girl may look great but she is insecure and not as amazing as you think she is.

Or the skinny girl could be doing it on purpose knowing that she is skinny and making the non-skinny girl feel nasty about herself which in that case the skinny girl is extremely mean and should be punished!
