And you have a 2.0 GPA, but the major requires a 3.2 G.P.A. for consideration and you still have several more classes to go, there is time to get better grades, but the questions is: Do you just stay at the Junior college, or what do you do exactly, if you don't get admitted to the 4 year University, like UCLA right away?

  1. You COULD stay, but do you really think you're going to make 3.2?  Think about this mathematically.  If you've been going to junior college for 2 years and have a 2.0, if you go ANOTHER 2 years and somehow get nothing but 4.0's, you'd still only be up to a 3.0, which is short of the 3.2 you're looking for.  If you were only a year in, that would be a different story...

I'd talk to an advisor at the junior college and find out what they can offer you, in terms of an Associates Degree or something.  But if they don't offer any sort of degree, then don't waste your time there trying to get your GPA up, because if you weren't able to get 4.0's thus far, how are you going to start getting 4.0's now?

I don't mean to sound mean... but someone's gotta tell it to you like it is, because friends and family will always say what they're supposed to say, and be supportive even when you're going the wrong way.  Some people just aren't cut out for 4-year college, and it's best not to waste more of your money on something that's not going to benefit you.
