i think this year Poni scored our first goal.

who scored your teams.. if you remember..

Boston Bruins only goal was scored by Patrice Bergeron in their first game this season.  It was a loss to Dallas and I was not exactly happy, after a 4-1 rout. But we made playoffs and forced 7 games with Montreal to get back on the map (without Bergeron and Kobasew).  Hopefully we can land Hossa this off-season and there were rumors that we had the rights to talk to Brian Campbell, but I don't think we will go after him--we have Chara's contract, and we just signed Ward and Stuart to multi-year deals on the blueline.  This keeps the core defensemen together for a few more years here in Boston.  Not saying we couldn't use him, but it's not realistic.

Mark Recchi scored the only goal for Pittsburgh against the Hurricanes,

Carolina won 4-1.

I didn't remember, I had to look it up. Antropov scored the Leafs first goal this season.

I was at the Avs' first game this season, Stastny scored the first goal. He also had a hat trick in the game, we beat the Stars 4-3. I remember that well.

In 2006-07, I'm quite sure Brett Clark scored the first goal of the season.

In 2005-06, I'm pretty sure it was Patrice Brisebois. I don't remember it 100%, but I think it was him.

I honestly didn't remember who scored the first goal of the '07-'08 season, yet I remember who scored the first goal the two seasons before that.

'05-'06- JP Dumont

'06-'07- Jason Pominville

'07-'08- Jaro Spacek(had to look it up)

Mikey.................in 2005, Brett Clark scored the Avalanche's first goal.  Antti Laaksonen score the 2nd...............Brisebois scored the 3rd.  

Chicago's first goal of 2007-08 was scored by Tuomo Ruttu (and assisted by Patrick Kane)

Chicago's first goal of 2006-07 was scored by Martin Havlat (his first of 4 points in his first game as a Hawk)

Chicago's first goal of 2005-06 was scored by Mark Bell, the game was memorable mainly because it was the first time that the Niedermayer brothers both scored goals in the same game

Chicago's first goal of 2003-04 was scored by Tyler Arnason in Chicago's first season opening shutout win in almost 30 years

Bobby Hull scored Chicago's season opening goal 6 times .......which may still be the NHL record.  Gordie Howe scored Detroit's first goal of the season 4 times.

I know that Marleau scored the first goal for the Sharks alst season in the 3rd period at Edmonton.

The Panthers first goal of this past season was scored by Brett McLean. The Cats lost to the rangers 5-2
