Do you know Braemar in Scotland? Can you suggest good restaurants?

Does anybody know any good restuarants in Braemar? We're planning a holiday in Scotland soon and staying with friends at the Hilton Craigendarroch only i've heard that the hotel restuarants are somewhat overpriced and not very good quality. Does anyone know any nice places to eat out in Braemar? preferably that won't cost the earth and are child friendly.

braemar isn,t really that big but its a lovely scenic village so here goes

the gathering place, invercauld road

gordons tea room, mar road

the old bakery, mar road

taste, auchendryne square

i,ve tried them all over a period of time and they,re all good, not overly expensive. certainly cheaper than the hilton!!!!
