would you mind telling me their age and what they are on? I wanted to compare it with my daughter - she is 11 and is on abilify, lamictal, and just started lexapro.

  1. My son was on Risperdol and Lexepro...he is 10. We took him off both though due to extreme weight gain 20 lbs! He is stable now with homeopathic treatments and we are "waiting and seeing" how he will handle school before returning to meds...

  2. My cousin was hospitalized twice at about that age and I know he was on lexapro for years after that. And lots of therapy. However, six years later. he is doing great and is away at college. A wonderful person with a great personality.

  3. anti d's shouldn't be given to a child under 18 years old as they can increase suicidal thoughts.  PLEASE make sure the doc that prescribed them is reputible.  bipolar and add have similar symptoms but totally different treatments. you should research both.   I BEG YOU TO MAKE SURE YOU'VE MADE THE RIGHT DECISION!!

  4. my son is now 17, he started taking meds when he was 15. he is now on triliptal 600mg and zoloft 100mg. and tempazpam for sleeping, he has a hard time shutting off his mind. It has taken years to find the right combo. Good luck it is a long process.

  5. I'm nineteen, but I'm on the same medications. Work great for me, but she seems a little young to be taking an anti-psychotic. I don't know, guess I don't know so much about it. Hope the medications work for her!

  6. I'm 14, and on Geodon, Zoloft, and Xanax.

I used to be on abilify.
