I don't know any good yuri ending animes, but some good stories are Clannad (tv show not movie), Da Capo, or if you want to see a really messed up one, School Days.  I am a proud Otaku....sort of ;)

Well, Strawberry Panic is considered the epitome of yuri anime. I dont remember even seeing many guys. It's a Romance, School Life, Yuri anime.

As for horor anime, try Pet Shop Of Horrors. It's only a few episodes (OVA's) but their pretty freaky. Code Geass is also a relatively new series that is very much like Death Note, but a little more mecha fighting.

My favorite romance anime are Ouran high School Host Club and School Rumble. Neither have yuri, but are extremely funny and romantic without being over sappy.

Kannazuki no Miko

I dont remember it too well since it was a while since i watched it but i thought it was a pretty good anime. its a short one too if i remember correctly. it was like 13 episodes. so yeah. it has action in it too so yeah. lol. hope this was what you were asking. if not, my bad!

Revolutionary Girl Utena: It's on the shojo-ai side, but it's got a lot of implied stuff going on.

Burst Angel: Again, it's shojo-ai...very much so.

Negima: It's got yuri innuendos.
