'We know its wrong to be together, lying to almost everyone we know, but still we want each other' ?

Heres the situation:

This guy and girl like each other and are really close, but the guy has a girlfriend. Hes scared to admit to the girl that he likes her b/c he doesnt know for sure if she likes him the same. Hes also scared of being alone, which is why he hasnt broken things of with his girlfriend. The girl is just scared to be in a relationship that might mean something. Shes never had a relationship of any substance. It scares her, the possibility of a complete partnership.

The Other Girl - A Poem About Cheating

I finally just stopped asking There is no point, you see The times I push him for the truth He will just lie to me
