  1. Lol Honey I think it's a great idee,I always frezze left over food and my Hubby loves it????xxxx

  2. sounds like a great way to save on food costs! plus some foods even taste BETTER the next day [or two], like italian dishes, soups/stews, casseroles, etc. i grew up on plenty of leftovers, so i tend to immediately assume that people who refuse to eat leftover are spoiled because their family had so much money that they'd just throw away food instead of saving and reheating. whether or not that's always the case is debatable.

  3. No that system won't work in our household .I love leftovers and normaly indulge in it for breakfast . Especialy braaivleis , spagetti and mince ,a pork tjop etc .

  4. I like a curry the next day even better. I do freeze food in plates but that is for the gardener of the maid, my family is too full of &^^$ for the potluck system, very nice idea!

  5. I just like to smoke pot.

  6. Whenever we have a stew / casserole then I always make a bit extra and freeze it for those nights I don't feel like cooking. This is definitely a new approach ;-)

Jacob - tut tut.....I hope you won't be smoking pot on Father's day - you might be in quite a state after drinking all that whisky you will given as presents and smoking a few joints.

  7. interesting idea.

I used to make 2 meals for dinner (eg lasagne) and freeze one for another night, it wrked well.

Otherwise I cook for 2 days and serve leftovers for the third. My kids would fight if they all got different food on their plates

  8. BRRILIANT

  9. 'n Lekker waterblommetjiebredie is waarvan ek  hou!

  10. No, not that system.  My father was in a family of 8 children, and their potluck was usually a huge pot of soup, with whatever they could find to put in it. Some days were luckier than others.

I do not think I would like a plate of food like that, although there is nothing wrong with it. If it was something like a stew and rice for instance. But frozen and then thawed potatoes do not sound very yummy.  I think I would just freeze the meat or stew and cook fresh veggies or rice to go with it.
