Do you know about the Northern Pacific Gyre? If not you should....

I was shocked when I discovered this information. A mass of garbage twice the size of Texas in the ocean. To know that we as people do this to the environment,,,, I started telling people at my work about this which spread like wild fire,,,, so know everyone pitches in to help recycle,,,, if each one of you who learn about this tells one or two people we can start to make a difference,,,,,,

Yes. Thank you! I live in Hawaii where we bring trash bags to the beach in the winter. A lot of trash from the gyre gets dumped on our beaches. It kills off marine birds and aquatic species. It's really sad and thoughtless how we humans have decided to approach our planet. We like to think of ourselves as the pinnacle of creation, as if we are "above" nature, when in reality we are a subset of nature. We need the Earth. The Earth is fine without us. We need to get straight on that fact or suffer the natural consequences.
