  2. In India, they feed babies mashed rice/dal, mashed fruits & veggies and also something similar to cream of wheat.  Very basic types of foods but always home made & very fresh (nothing processed).

  3. In the middle east, well Lebanon at least, we give babies boiled (steamed) vegetables like carrot, courgette, potato, mashed of course. Boiled rice, soft juicy fruits, etc. tha's stage one of weaning. Stage 2 is all the usual meals, mashed. BTW at Lebanon the food is not spicy. There's a variety of spices we use but they are not chilly.

  4. Mushed up bananas/apples/pears with natural yogurt. No added sugar.

    Europe/Turkey.
