Miyuki and Kyojin are noble bushi warriors called samurai, not low class hinin treacherous cowards called ninja. The samurai is brave and honorable, while a ninja uses stealth and has no honor. vampires do not really exist. Victims of porphiria perhaps inspired such tales.
