like cover 1, cover 2, cover 3 Where is the linebacker in these plays. and what gap does each linebacker go into. What are the linebackers zones.

when someone uses the term cover blank it just means how many guys are acting as safeties. Usually during those plays (cover 2 and 3) the line backers patrol the middle of the field between 5-10 yards away from the line of scrimmage and during cover 1 usually you are playing man coverage with a safety patrolling deep down the middle of the field.
