Do you know any good bars or clubs in Ho Chi Minh Vietnam?

I'm going to Ho Chi Minh from next Thursday. I'd like to know some good & safe places for drinking or dancing in the evening. Thank you !

Seventeen might be a good one. It is on Ton Duc Thang street - the very center - district 1, the bar is on the 1st floor and overlooking to Saigon river. There is the place where local sand foreignerscome after working hours for a good drink and the music is very good too.

i'm guessing youd like the "alleboo" on the corner of pham ngu lau and de tham streets. it a backpacker place but safe and fun.. there are a number of other bars in that area.

   if your taste is more upscale., head to the roof tops bars on "the rex" and "caravel "hotels...... and oif course there is "appocolyps now".. just as any cabby......

I agree with the above answer, I have spent many a night at the Seventeen Saloon, across from the river next to the Renaissance Hotel, great band there, always crowded, a real fun place. The (in)famous Apocolypse Now is a popular disco, doesn't get going until pretty late, weekends are best there. Saigon Saigon is a fun bar, located on a rooftop of the Caravelle Hotel, good views and good music, too. Allez Boo is also very popular for the backpacking crowd. There are lots of places all over in District 1, HCMC has a great nightlife scene, you won't have any problem having fun.
