My 21st birthday is this weekend, and I am living in D.C. for the summer. I am looking for a nice restaurant to go to, which is not extremely expensive. $20 or less average for entrees. I was thinking in Georgetown, maybe somewhere on the water, but it doens't neccessarily have to be in Georgetown. It's me and a group of about 10 people, but I'm really not familiar with the area, so I would appreciate your help. Thank you!!!!

  1. Best bet to finding something that fits your tastebuds & your wallet would be to Google "waterfront restaurants dc area".  The list that pops up will include eating establishments located in Georgetown.

When you've found a place be sure to ask 2 questions:  (1)  What is your parking situation? (2) What's the nearest METRO stop?  Certain locations in Georgetown aren't near a convenient METRO stop.  At night, this can be a problem if you're concerned about personal safety.  Parking can be a huge issue...can cost an arm & a leg if the restaurant doesn't have it's own parking lot.

    Good luck!

  2. Try Phillips Flagship on the waterfront. It's on Maine Avenue, has a wonderful buffet, as well as a decent menu and the food is really quite good. They're in your price range and non-seafood people will find a nice selection of menu items, too.

  3. Amanda B, I've found a nice list of restaurants that might help. You can drill down the Washington results by cities close to you. If you call a few of the restaurants you can narrow down wich one would work best for you. http://www.restaurantreviewsratings.com/...
