I remember seeing some japanese video where they had solar cells on t-shirts to power your iPod or something like that.

Get a Fresnel lens from Edmond Scientific.   The large ones can make concrete explode and little chips will pop off a sidewalk or whatever.   Much faster than a magnifying glass for roasting ants too; could probably do the whole anthill at once!

you probably want to put something under it so it doesn't drip all over the dashboard, else you'll have flies forever.
