  1. The prospect of whitby in Wapping E1

Dickens inn, st katherines dock       E1

    Captain kid,   Wapping E1

  2. Quite a lot of the pubs around the Covent Garden/ Leicester Square/ Charing Cross areas are more touristy than locally- some names that spring immediately to mind are The Punch & Judy, O'Neills, The Moon Under Water, Waxy O'Connor's.

(maybe have a look at http://fancyapint.com/area/00486.html for exact details of where these are, and a brief review of each of them)

  3. Probably the Sherlock Holmes, Northumberland St WC2, halfway between Embankment Station and Trafalgar Square.

  4. The Lamb and Flag (Covent Garden).  Zoo bar, Oxygen Bar (Leicester Square)  Any of the pubs next to major train stations.  Strawberry Moons (Heddon Street), Cheers Bar (Regent Street).

Hope you're wanting these so you can avoid them and meet some real people?
