  1. Nearly all of them, since the price hike and the smoking ban.

  2. The Tattershall Castle tends to be fairly quiet at this time of year iirc. Walk West along embankment from Embankment Tube and you’ll see it on the left… on the river! It’s a boat. Very popular in the summer and very amusing during choppy weather. I tend to find the swaying motion both relaxing and counteracting

    Also

I went to The White Horse:http://fancyapint.com/pubs/pub2082.html

in Soho last night and was struck by how easy it was to chat to my friend. It’s right by Equus – ooh, the irony!

    and Last but not least

If you don’t mind not being very central, there’s no other pub quite as lovely as Hampstead’s Spaniard’s Inn…

If you need to be central then You can also try the Lyceum (I think it’s called) is an unassuming little Sam Smith’s number on the Strand, the downside being that it can be full of students, but has cool little booths

    Best of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. The George near the Embankment is very quiet and charming, it's also very beautiful. The oldest pub in London, by the way.
