  1. www.classroomdirect.com has pretty good prices and anyone can buy from there.

  2. 16 year teacher here.

you'll find that most teacher buy from Staples, wallmart, office depot etc. The school supply industry does not give massive discounts to teahcers as commonly believed. You can get a better deal at the larger office supply stores simply by walking in. In fact, I *never* show my teacher card. It is not a discount - its a bulk buy credit - for example - you get 5 dollar credit for every 50 dollars purchased.

I get a better deal on simple weekly sales! So wait till school starts - they always have cheap supplies then - or look for the weekly ads to see whats on sale.

Why dont we get a better deal? We are a captive audience - its not like we can go anywhere else. The supply industry knows it has 4 million American teachers who spend an average of 1.5k a year on their classroom.

    good luck!

  3. Yup, office supply stores all work. I would add, for more specific teaching-related supply items, try lakeshorelearning.com

  4. Check here:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i...

You will find what you like!

    Good luck!

  5. As a teacher, when we can fill in our supply requests, it goes through suppliers the district has made deals with to buy in bulk.  And then my budget is limited, so I have to choose carefully.  Otherwise, if I'm going to buy any other supplies, I can't just go to a bulk supplier or wholesaler to find what I want.  I have to go to Wal-Mart or Sam's Club/Costco to find deals.  If you need bulk supplies, try warehouse clubs or search on-line.  You could try Oriental Trading Company if you want bulk decorative pencils, stickers, rewards, etc.

  6. http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&...

    Hope this helps.

  7. discountschoolsupply.com has excellent prices and really good Internet specials. Their house brand stuff is mostly pretty good but stick to crayola crayons.

  8. Who said teachers can anyway?   Go to any educational supplies store.

  9. lakeshore, discount school supplies, office depot, staples, office max, walmart, costco, and dollardays.com.

Try to buy school supplies late July, early August.
