I know most of the misogynists are men, but what about women? Is it possible for women to support misogyny?

  1. I've actually seeing some women on here (assuming they are actually women behind the keyboard) put down other women on every issue.

EDIT: Tracey got it right. Ann Coulter is a good example.

  2. I know a few.

I guess it's their right as adult, empowered(?) women, though.

  3. Yes, some support misogyny. This prejudice isn't only known to men.

  4. I can answer this with a resounding YES.

My roomate in college let me know right off the bat that "she did not like being friends with girls because girls were just no fun." I kinda shrugged, went out that night with some cool new people I had met, while she stayed in our dorm baking cookies. We actually did become friends because I met some of the young ladies she grew up with, and man, were they dull.

I've also been told by several women that I was not a real Christian because I felt marriage was more of an equal partnership that a wife being submissive to her husband.  That really hurt because I really love God.

I had a high school math teacher tell me that I was having a difficult time with algebra II because I was a girl when I asked for additional help after class. My dad sat with me at the kitchen table passed midnight that night explaining what she was too biased to explain.  I eventually got the math, while she got a mouthful from my father the next day.

Really, (and here's something I'm guilty of too) anytime a female calls another female a s**t and not the man she's with the same, isn't that a form of misogyny?

All this and I've grown up in an affulent and extremely well-educated community by most standards.

There are tons of misogynistic women out there be they high profile (i.e. Anne Coulter) or one's friend or next door neighbor.

  5. I don't know any personally, but I've talked to a few people online who claim to be women and also claim to think that women are inferior to men. I don't really understand this, I guess it must be an expression of self-hatred, or some kind of inferiority complex.

  6. Phyllis Schlaffly is probably the most misogynistic of them all. She thinks that women should forego an education and not have careers at all yet she sure didn't practice what she preaches.

  7. Sadly, it is. There was a controversial article not long ago by Charlotte Allen asking why women were so "dim."

  8. Yes there are some women who hate all other women , and they tend to hate everybody, men included, they are just haters.

  9. i don't think i know any personally, and it seems to me that women who hate other women also have problems with most of humanity.

  10. Not any women that I know of, I think women who support misogyny probably have some unresolved issues towards themselves & it may just stem back from childhood & how they were raised. It's unfortunate but a lot of the times, true.

  11. I know lot of sexist persons, either women or men. But is not that persons support hate women.

  12. Ann Coulter
