Yes I do. In fact, I almost got struck by lightning yesterday. It was so close the hair on my head stood up.

Anyways, the odds of getting struck by lightning in your lifetime varies greatly because there are a lot of factors. Other answerers have provided estimates, and good ones I might add, but they are useless in some cases.

For example, a person who lives in Florida and works outdoors frequently is far more likely to be hit by lightning in their lifetime than someone who lives in the desert, and stays indoors almost all of the time.

Yes, well, almost. Her name is Rebecca, and one night we were standing outside watching the storm, and Rebecca was jumping on some of the stepping stones in our front yard as she jumped from the third  to the fourth stone, lightning came down and struck the third stone. Also, the odds of being struck by lightning are 1 to 700 000- yes seven hundred thousand!!

My Uncle Bob was hit by lightning.  He was on a land line phone and it came in through the wire and knocked him down flat on the floor.  It took him a long time to recover and he said it was a terrible experience.
