Do you know anything about GRE and PhD scholarship?

I am an international student. I have been offered a PhD scholarship by the University of Arkansas. My professor has confirmed my studentship based on my references and resume and university grades.

The department has asked me to take GRE general exam. When I asked about the accepted GRE grade, they said they just need the GRE for the file, and there isn't a specific mark they are after. I am really scared of GRE, because of its vocabulary part. Do you think if my GRE marks is terrible and very low, they could reject me?

I can't believe they don't care about the mark. How could this be possible.

If you have any general information, I would appreciate your help.

Any idea welcome!

  1. The GRE is often unnecessary for admittance into a program if you are accepted directly by the program sponsor, but for record keeping and statistical purposes they often ask their students to take the test anyway.
