i watched a Chinese TV series in Cambodia. It was set in BJ in 2006. SOme of the characters where from ancient china, the monk, monkey, pig etc. And there was one main character from the future, a girl who was a cell phone. "silly girl"is the english translation of the khmer verison of her name.

Well, did some searching and found out what you have mentioned. It's Chinese name is 魔幻手机, which means "the Magic Cellphone". The monk/monkey/pig are taken from the well-known chinese novel Journey to the West, in case you're interested.
