Blackmail is someone using something against you , and against your will, to get something out of you. The things you listed for examples are not considered blackmail.

If you asking if people believe in superstitions, well that makes more sense.

No I don't believe in superstition.

A person that does believe in superstitions can just create fear for themselves. They can also give it enough power to seem real enough to believe in it.  Also can give them an excuse not to be accountible for their own actions. Example *  It was an outside force that made them do it.

I would not follow anything blindly that common sense would dictate it could be harmful to me.

i don't really understand what it means but here are some things i can share.

first of all, i might get into trouble if someone who know me sees this so i am going to use  a word to represent this particular religion.. and that word will be 'lam'. ok.. here we go.

im my country lams get extra rights and discriminate other religions... being a hindu, i am also a victim of this discrimination. it is taught here that if a lam kills a non-lam, the lam will go to heaven and the non-lam will go to h**l.. the country's law is the only thing preventing that from happening.. in fact.. it has already happened once here.. where lams killed any chinese they see.. you can look it up... do a search on May 13th in malaysia. several police here who are lams still do kill nonlams in jail for no reason.. the sad thing is lam is the country's national religion..

another example is my mum and a friend went to see a medium. being a hindu, one of our strongest prayers or mantras are just saying the word Aum. the medium they went to told my mum's friend kayce not to say that word.. saying it brings bad luck. being a very strong hindu she insistes to follow this tradition that has been around since BC. a few weeks later she got possessed.. she went ot another trusted medium that was also her close friend. he checked her and said that she used to have a spirit in her but it was not strong.. it was then removed by the other medium..but upon finding out se did not listen to him.. he sent it back but with full force..

I'm not sure what you mean by spiritual blackmail? Can you give me an example?

ahhhh... okay. I know that most of that stuff is HOGWASH. lol No offense to those who believe it of course, but most of it is all just in the mind. If my spirit guides left me every single time I didn't do what they suggested, they'd have been long gone by now. you know what I mean? If a spirit is that way, then there the sort you don't want helping you anyway. The true loving spirits are patient and kind and they understand things like our fear of them or that sometimes we're not sure about what they tell us. My angels have been extremely tolerant and patient with me, and if I don't "get" something, they simply keep repeating it, and they never push me beyond where I'm comfortable going. A really good example.... every time my Native American guide, River Wind, comes to me, he simply stands in front of me and allows me to recognize him first before he speaks. Because he knows I can spook easily sometimes (the PTSD).

the "if you don't forward this" is just plain hogwash. You will not get bad luck, God will not stop loving you, and that little boy in china will NOT die if you don't forward that to every one you know. Apparently though my mother-in-law doesn't know this. LOL

Oh... and I happen to know for a fact that h**l doesn't really exisit. At least not the way most people think it does. Yes, there is a place where the darkness gathers and/or is banished to, but it is a VERY evil place, full of a darkness the likes of which most people simply cannot fathom. And good, honest people who simply made a mistake like, "oops, I didn't go to church today" will NOT be sent there. Only those that live in darkness, that are OF the darkness (Hitler for example) are sent to this place. most of those rules they tell you in church... are man-made rules. And I get this from the Archangel Michael (aka St. Michael) himself.

I'm sure it is in every haunted house I mean if you disrupt there territory then obviously something or SOMEONE will come after you! Isn't it known if you ruin a spirits doings it will haunt your for life like a poltergeist so on SO ON!
