1. I was 12 when I went to France and Italy with my mother and my older sister. All I know is that our names were the first ones on the tourist list, and my mom said they couldn't start without us. We saw all of the local attractions there, and they were great.

The people looked and dressed like.....people! Nothing was out of place, and the streets were very clean. Watch where you walk though, cuz they might drive on the opposite side of the road, and you could get hit by a car or bus.

If you're going on vacation, do some serious research on those cities, because you want to enjoy your trip and not have money stolen from you. Good luck and have fun!

  2. Southern France is very laid back. Lots of wine and champange.

  3. The only French who appreciate Americans are those who live near Normandy Beach.

  4. i ave been to france - the image of a french person is misleading. yh they ave baguettes but thet dont wear strippy tops and they dont ave onions round their neck. they will be happy if u give a effort to learn their laungauge. enjoy ur visit.

  5. ... are you sure you don´t want to include another 20 countries on the list...?

If my answer comes over as rude, I do apologize, but some questions are badly phrased on here.

Barcelona is a city in Spain, so duh. Sorry.

You are asking about totally different cultures and countries, what is it you are actually looking/asking for? Yes, I have been to Spain, France and Italy, not yet to Costa Rica.

"It looks like" - depending on where you go, beach, different cities, countryside, local region....

"Things are run" - very differently, depending on where exactly you go.

"People look", yeah all French people wear berrets, carry baguettes and smoke; all Spanish people dance Flamenco and wear funny red-and-black dresses all the time; Italian people are usually surrounded by their 11 children and eat pasta all day long. Costa Rica - aren´t those those funny Rastafarians? I am really sorry, but I cannot see how people can actually expect somebody to come up with a precise description of what "people are like" in a certain country. ;)

Tourists are usually welcome in all Southern European states, though people in more touristy areas will treat tourists differently than those in more "original" places - depending on the kind of tourists coming there. With all the Southern European countries listed, learning a couple of useful phrases certainly won´t do you harm before going there. Especially in less touristy areas, don´t expect Italian, French and Spanish people to speak fluent English.

If you want advice on which country to go to, it depends on what you want to do for a holiday, not so much the people there.

Edit your question in a way that it is more precise, I will be glad to edit my answer.

  6. Costa Rica is absolutely phenomenal. The people there are so nice to everyone, and the scenery is beautiful. And even though rice and beans with every meal (yeah, even breakfast) may not sound appealing at first, it gets addictive! I had such a great time there.
