Do you know anything about teaching at an international school in Dubai?

I am an international teacher, looking into schools in Dubai for 2009. Any advice or experience there?

i dunno my friend lived in duabai for a year and went to an international school and loved it.. she said the teachers and students were great in helping her settle in after moving there all the way from australia !

id say go to a school and talk to a principal there !

I have been to Dubai, it's a beautiful place, but if you're a woman, regardless of race or age, you have to cover up your body and you're not allowed to drive and talk to other men.

my sisters doctor is going there to treat ppl or something and he said its really nice there! cool for you that u get to go cuz i think he said (he has a heavy accent) the islands are man made and there shaped like palm trees!

First of all let me tell you that its absultely false that women can't drive in Dubai and not allowed to talk to men. There is plenty of freedom for women in Dubai, it is more secure than many Westen countries.

What do you mean when you say you are an "International Teacher"? What is your nationality? We moved here not too long ago and being Americans, wife did not have any problem finding a teaching job in an American school with an American degree in Education.
